Planning your stay
Each family is asked to pay $10 per night for their room. Billing to a third party may be arranged.
Space is limited in the House so rooms are allocated on a priority system based on the child’s diagnosis.
Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days per week. Room availability can usually be confirmed by late afternoon. Alternate arrangements can be made in advance for families who need to arrive after 9 p.m.
If a room isn’t available at the House, the family will be added to the waiting list. In order to remain on the waiting list, the family is asked to call each morning. If a family doesn’t call two days in a row, it will be assumed that accommodation is no longer required and they will be removed from the waiting list.
Families are welcome to come and go as they please. The House is secured with an alarm system and families are provided with a code that allows them access 24 hours a day. Families are asked not to share the code with anyone.
Guests can be reached by the hospital, family or friends through:
- A loaned pager
- Phone in bedroom
- Voicemail in bedroom
- Messages left through office
Children 12 and under must be supervised at all times.
The House is a residential facility only; we do not have medical personnel on staff.
Ronald McDonald House is a wheelchair accessible home.
Alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, smoking, and pets are not permitted.
