Family Room Volunteer
Volunteers are needed to assist in the day to day operation of the Family Room by providing support to the families and children who visit the Ronald McDonald House Family Room located at McMaster Children's Hospital.

Relief Manager
The House must be staffed 24 hours a day. The Relief Manager has complete responsibility for the operation of the House in the absence of the full-time staff members. Duties involve communication and registration of families, daily house routines and emergency procedures. Time commitment: minimum of two four-hour shifts per month.
Office Volunteer
Works with the administrative team. Support is needed at peak periods for fundraising and newsletter mailings, database management and daily office routines. Time commitment: as desired.
Housekeeping Volunteer
Works with a team to ensure that the common areas of the house are clean and tidy and that rooms are cleaned when families check out. Time commitment: two 2 hour shifts per month.
Maintenance Volunteer
With 15 families staying at the house, there are a number of minor repairs and quick fix-its that need to be done. A maintenance volunteer could perform duties such as changing light bulbs, painting, minor repairs. Time commitment: as desired.
Special Events (e.g. Golf Tournament) Volunteer
Special events such as golf tournaments are major fundraising activities which support the important financial needs of the House. Volunteers can use their specialized skills, energy and enthusiasm working with the committees who organize these events. Time commitment: As desired.
